South Yorkshire Probation Trust is aware that some people,
claiming to be offenders under the supervision of the Trust are
involved in door to door selling or asking to be paid for small
jobs.
These people are likely to produce identification apparently
confirming that they are working under the Trust's authority. South
Yorkshire Probation Trust would like to make it clear that we
never, in any circumstances, ask offenders to become involved in
this type of venture. Anyone calling at your door asking for money
does not come under the direction of the Trust.
Their identification is false and they are involved in a scam. If
you are approached in this way, please do not engage with the
person. South Yorkshire Probation Trust asks that you contact us to
report any incident and we also advise you to contact the
Police.
